I am trying to reprogram the kit to it's default application. I am having issues doing it. It seems I do not have the correct drivers installed. What drivers to do I need?

Also, can I reprogram it using the micro usb cable provided in the kit-- or do I need another special cabel ?

Thank you,
Nick

The USB drivers are automatically installed with the Broadcom WICED SDK tool installation. (The kit's USB connection provides JTAG programming + debugging as well as serial console I/O.
An additional programmer/debugger cable is NOT required!)

"Installation Tutorials" describe the key installation steps:

http://cloudconnectkits.org/forum/topic/installation-tutorials

On ubuntu, I was able to build, using the tips here:

But does anyone know, what needs to be done, to load the USB-UART driver?

For the board to be identified as an FTDI virtual com port by Linux, so the Serial port will be available on /dev/ttyUSB1 (or ttyUSB0...) what vendorid/productid should be used?

sudo modprobe ftdi_sio vendor=0x0a5c product=0x43fa

The above does not seem to work...

FTDI chip vendorid / productid
Jey

The .xml file used for programming the FTDI device's EEPROM has the following settings
    VendorID = 0A5C
    ProductID = 43FA
