No signal with M14A2A LTE modem

Solved

I followed all the steps in the quickstart guide and the cloudconnect shows my kit S/N, AT&T shows my SIM active. I tried to add the hardware on the AT&T page also, but it says 'not found' for the serial number of the add-on board (and only provides an option for the LTE kit hardware)

Despite it saying the sim is active, I get no signal (99,99 from modem and 'no signal' in the PC connection manager)

Any help is appreciated.

Hi what kind of kit? Is this an LTE add on kit.

Yes. Last night I tried changing the firmware from what was shipped to both of the recommended/supported versions and no change. I've also tried it in more than one location.

Do you know if the board is being power up at all, is there any lights indicating that it powered up successfully? I assume you are using the http://cloudconnectkits.org/product/lte-iot-add-kit kit, correct?  Have you went through the tutorials at http://cloudconnectkits.org/product/lte-iot-add-kit#?

Yes, of course. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to do AT commands on it.

And if by tutorials, you mean the pdfs "getting started guide" and "pi" instructions. I said as much, yes. Did you read what I wrote? It's powering up. It's showing in the connection manager. It says no signal. I go into it with minicom and use the AT commands and it shows no signal (99,99 returning from AT+CSQ)

still no response despite submitting tickets and sending emails to every form I could find. The only responses I got were from a couple of them saying "this isn't the right place to submit this ticket" which inevitably pointed to one of the others that I had also submitted the same inquiry upon. Still no signal on the device.
