Dear ATT IoT Kit Users:

We are very pleased to announce new AT&T certified firmware for the WNC 14A2A module as well as many new ARM mbed libraries and example code!  Enjoy!

NEW WNC 14A2A FIRMWARE RELEASE INFO:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please find the instructions for how and where to download the firmware files here, please please read carefully, there are some not obvious steps:

https://starterkit.att.com/tutorials/cellular-shield-firmware-upgrade

Note: This new firmware revision: CM_MPSS_M14A2A_v11.50.164451 mainly addresses an issue where the modem would sporadically go to sleep and never wake up (stops responding to AT cmds).

NEW ARM MBED LIBRARIES AND EXAMPLES:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

All of the v5 mbed compatible libraries and examples may be found here:

https://developer.mbed.org/teams/Avnet/

This includes:

WncInterface – An mbed C++ class that can be used in place of mbed’s v5 EthInterface class

WncControllerLibrary – A C++ class that directly controls the 14A2A, study it to learn it’s AT cmds

WncControllerK64F – A C++ class that controls the 14A2A from the K64F Freedom Board

And the original Out of the Box demo with the old controller method can also now be found here.

New Application Examples: HTTPClient, M2X, Bluemix, MQTT and TLS Client

All of the above have been tagged with the label: att_cellular_K64_wnc_14A2A_20161117

Note: Please only use code pulled from the release label!  The tip revisions are not guaranteed to work!
