Hi,

I am having issues with the IMS2 kit.

I dont get any response on UART0 for AT commands. UART2 for debugging outputs a lot of crashes.

Any ideas?

Also, the docs mention upgrading the firmware with:

"Download the file DM_0.0.2.msi file, and launch its execution."

Where can this file be downloaded?

Thanks

Hi,

I know Avnet sells the IMS2 HDK kit but I don't have one to try and there isn't any support here for it yet.  So at this time I cannot help with your issue, sorry.  That may change in the future.

Best regards

As mentioned earlier in this thread, formal support for the IMS2 device is not at this time available from this site.
The .msi installation file you queried however was requested on your behalf and WNC provided the following files:

WNCDM_1.0.3.zip  contains WNCDM_1.0.3.msi )
https://avnet.egnyte.com/dl/NQ0tSq9shh

[WNC IMS2] WNCDM User Manual Guide v2.1_2017_1114.pdf
https://avnet.egnyte.com/dl/G1VZd35nX1

Make sure also that you have copies of the documents listed under the "Documents" tab of the IMS2 HDK listing on the Avnet purchase site:
https://www.avnet.com/shop/us/p/kits-and-tools/development-kits/wistron-neweb/ims2-hdk-3074457345633655676/

Thanks.

Do you have any suggestions where I can get support?

Can you get the latest firmware from WNC?

Thanks again.

Can you please re-link WNCDM_1.0.3.zip  ( contains WNCDM_1.0.3.msi )

I am working with this module and running into many problems just trying to work with / initalize.

This is what eventually worked for me:

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","m2m.com.attz"

You need to set the right APN

Thanks for providing feedback from your experience.
For connection to the AT&T LTE-M service, the APN must be set to m2m.com.attz

This is the only valid APN for "IoT Devices" on the AT&T network:
