In addition to the Amazon Web Services IoT examples provided in WICED SDK, a blog article describing how to get started with IBM Bluemix (providing demo code connecting to IBM's "Quickstart" page) is now available at [link updated 8/8/2016] :

https://community.cypress.com/community/wiced-wifi/wiced-wifi-forums/blog/2016/03/19/wiced-ibm-iot-bluemix-quickstart

Use the procedure and project files provided but to target the Avnet BCM4343W board, the following make target must be added to the "Make Target" panel in your WICED SDK:

demo.bluemix_iot-BCM94343W_AVN download download_apps run

The demo provides rapid confirmation that you can connect to IBM's Watson IoT cloud service, charting live sensor data on IBM’s QuickStart page. Additional steps are needed however to get started with the full Bluemix service (and configuring rules and actions via user-friendly Node-RED editor), - details on this will be posted in a later blog...

Beyond the steps completed in this QuickStart demo, to use the Bluemix cloud service the user will need to :

a) register an account (IBM have made this relatively easy, not requiring a credit card for the 30 day free trial!), and
b) register their board’s device ID  (as reported on the console screen of this demo)

Additional blog material will be provided on this topic shortly...
