Hi,

I have started to use the Avnet BCM4343W IoT Starter Kit. I was wondering if there is AT Commands with MQTT support for the this kit ?

Where can I get the code for the same ?

Thanks,
Sunny

This kit does not support the AT command set. If you are looking for a higher-level interface to the module you might consider using ZentriOS.

(Latest version of ZentriOS SDK now also supports the Avnet BCM4343W IoT Starter Kit)

Hi Peter,

Thanks a lot for the reply.

I went through the ZentriOS Website. But for the high-level interface, they did not mention that there are any commands related to MQTT.

However, in their documentation, they have given functions for MQTT. So can you please give information regarding that.

I am trying to find out more details for the same.

Thanks,
Sunny

Regarding Zentri support for MQTT, take a look at the following on the Broadcom WICED WiFI forum:

https://community.broadcom.com/community/partners/zentri/blog/2016/03/09/cloud-mqtt-demo

(Lookout too for Bluemix and AWS demos from Zentri, in the apps\cloud folder of upcoming releases of their SDK...)

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your reply.

One last question though. In the link that you mentioned for Zentri OS on Broadcom Community, it is mentioned that Requirements and Prerequisites This app requires a ZentriOS evaluation board and ZentriOS 3.1+.

So I will need a ZentriOS evaluation board ?

Because currently I have a Avnet BCM4343W IoT Starter Kit.

Thanks,
Sunny

The Avnet BCM4343W IoT Starter Kit is now fully supported by ZentriOS SDK !!!!
https://docs.zentri.com/hardware/avnet/bcm4343wiot
https://docs.zentri.com/hardware/avnet/bcm4343w_peripherals

eg. This IBM Bluemix Cloud Demo which has now been extended to support multiple MEMS sensors using add-on Arduino-form-factor shields...
