Hello,

I just receieved the 2nd Gen starter kit. I registered the Sim card successfully. However, the network LED and the tri-color LED have never turned on when I apply power. I have tried to connect to the board in bash. When I put in the command adb devices it says that no devices are found. I am thinking maybe it is a harware issue but wanted to check the forum before I made arrangments for an exchange. I have been told to check and if needed to change the APN. I can't do this without the ability to communicate with the board.

Hi Tony, does the power LED come on?  Is your development OS Windows, Linux, or MAC? If running on Linux, you may need to start ADB using sudo.  Also, which usb connector are you using?  There are two, one is for power and the other is for the PC connection so I just want to make sure your using the correct one.  There is a blog about the setup when talking with M2X  at https://www.element14.com/community/blogs/JimFlynn/2018/09/25/an-overvie...

The power LED does on. I am running on Linux and have used sudo. The connections are correct with respect to power and communication. Thanks for the blog site, but I used it during my set-up process. Any other thoughts besides bad hardware.
